The website allows you to read our news and publications, contact us and read about the services that we offer. By accessing and using our website, you consent to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Statement.

About the Privacy Statement

Personal data is data that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This could be a name, address, phone number, email address or IP address. Our Privacy Statement explains how we collect and use your personal data.

All processing of personal data, such as its collection, registration, storage and sharing is subject to separate rules, including the Personal Information Act. THEMA is responsible for processing data in accordance with Norwegian law. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority supervises compliance with the law.

We take your privacy seriously and you can be confident that we will manage your personal data responsibly. In this Privacy Statement, we explain why we collect information about you, how we use the information, and how we take your privacy into account.

Information about visitors to our website is logged entirely anonymously. Most websites today make use of so-called cookies to improve the user experience. We use Google Analytics to study web traffic, patterns of use and trends on the website. The data that is collected is used to optimise the user experience and to customise the content of the website. In accordance with Google’s Terms of Service, personal information about users is not collected by Google Analytics. The data that is collected is stored on Google’s servers.

Contacting us using our form

By submitting a request using our online form, you agree that we can store your personal information, such as your name and email address, in order to establish a customer relationship with you and send you a response to your request.

Subscribing to our newsletter

Our newsletter contains news and links to our publications. We only send the newsletter to those users that have agreed to be sent it. When you agree to be sent our newsletter, the only information we require of you is your email address. We may subsequently request further information about you and providing this information is entirely optional. This information will be used to customise the content of the newsletter so that it is more relevant to you. You can choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and will be given the option to do so in every newsletter that you receive from us.

Sharing of personal data

We do not share (or sell) any of your personal data with third parties. Your personal data is stored in our CRM and billing systems, which only we have access to. Occasionally, maintenance and technical assistance may be required from our technical service providers – during which time the provider may have temporary access to our data management systems. Their access is regulated by the data management agreements we have with all of our suppliers.
If you have subscribed to our newsletter, your name and email address is also stored in a third-party solution called Mailchimp – which is the system used to distribute our newsletters.

The right of access, deletion and appeal

Unless we hear otherwise from you, we will keep your personal data for 2 years. You may, at any time, request access to the personal data we hold on you, or ask us to delete this information. You can also withdraw your consent.
